I build robots, and I write about how they work. I’m Flavio. A robotics engineer focused on perception, SLAM, and computer vision, with a background spanning mechanical engineering (Southampton) and robotics (TU Delft). I’ve worked on SLAM at Hilti, deep learning at NATO, and a little bit of everything in between with student teams — quadrupeds, lunar rovers, the occasional competition robot. You’ll find technical write-ups on SLAM and perception, side projects in embedded systems and IoT, podcast conversations, and the occasional documentary detour. Some posts are for engineers, some for the merely curious — pick whatever looks interesting.
